Information that Planar Collects
Planar collects information from all users of the Planar Site. What information we collect and how we use it depends upon your activity on the Planar Site, which is described in more detail below.
Planar does not sell products to persons under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you are required seek the approval of your parent or guardian to purchase products from the Planar Site. The Planar Site is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age under any circumstances. Planar does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
Planar collects non-personally identifiable, anonymous information from all visitors to the Planar Site. Examples of the types of anonymous information that Planar collects include a user’s IP address, browser type, and the date and time a user accessed the Planar Site. We use this anonymous information for system administration purposes in order to enhance the operation of the Planar Site and make it more useful to visitors. Planar may use a third party vendor to process, package, or ship your order, or to process your payment. Planar discloses your contact and financial information to outside vendors as necessary to process your transaction. Planar will disclose your information when we believe in good faith that it is legally required, such as pursuant to a warrant, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights and property.
Planar takes precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. The personally identifiable information you provide to Planar is stored on servers located in a controlled environment that Planar takes efforts to protect from unauthorized access by both physical and electronic measures. Planar strives to provide a commercially reasonable degree of security, but does not guarantee that such measures will be effective.
Any payment transactions will be encrypted. No credit card numbers used for processing payment transactions are retained for marketing purposes.
Where Planar provides you with (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of the Planar Site, you are responsible for keeping the password confidential. Planar asks you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Planar Site via the Internet; any transmission is at your own risk.
