Project Overview
Dufry AG is a Swiss-based travel retailer that operates nearly 2,200 duty-free and duty-paid shops in airports, cruise lines, seaports, railway stations and central tourist areas in 60 countries worldwide. Dufry’s Brazil operations was interested in using digital displays at airport branches for advertising, communications and to create a more modern storefront appearance. That led to the installation of a Planar 4mm LED video wall at a Dufry duty-free store in Rio de Janeiro’s Tom Jobim International Airport.
Using data that the retailer collected on customer preferences, Dufry launched an advertising campaign highlighting specific products on the LED video wall, resulting in higher retail sales. Following that success, Dufry has expanded its use of Planar LED video walls to other duty-free branches in airports across Brazil.
