placeholder

Today, Planar announced the expansion of its award-winning Planar® DirectLight® Slim Series line of fine pixel pitch LED video wall displays with the introduction of a new Low Power Model. Delivering 500 nits of brightness while consuming just 68 watts of power, the new model is optimized for energy-conscious customers and environments with low ambient light conditions.

Launched in February 2025, Planar DirectLight Slim Series LED displays feature an ultra-slim, narrow-profile form factor that accommodates curved and space-constrained applications that benefit from its unique design. Its reduced width also minimizes color shift at wide viewing angles, enhancing image uniformity in curved video wall designs. With a possible mounted depth of less than two inches, it is ideal for applications including control rooms, broadcast studios, virtual production stages, XR environments, simulation and training centers, research facilities and more. In addition to supporting curved video walls, Planar DirectLight Slim Series excels in flat installations where space is limited, thanks to its compact depth and full front serviceability.

Planar DirectLight Slim Series Low Power and Standard Models are available in 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8 millimeter pixel pitches, feature MicroLED technology and utilize a unique 4:9 aspect ratio to support deployment versatility and high visual impact.

The Planar DirectLight Slim Series Low Power Model is available now through Planar’s global network of authorized resellers. For more information, visit www.planar.com/DirectLightSlim.
