New LED Video Wall is First High Resolution On-Set Screen
A subsidiary of international media conglomerate RTL Group, RTL Netherlands is a Dutch media network and the first Dutch TV station to install fine pitch LED video wall technology. A Planar® TVH Series LED video wall with a 1.6mm pixel pitch was selected by the network for its RTL Z studios, located south of Amsterdam, which broadcasts men’s-oriented programming—including soccer, auto racing and motorcycle sports—24 hours a day.
To meet RTL’s unique requirements of an elongated screen and 90-degree angle, the left side of the TVH Series LED video wall was designed with a 3.2-meter-wide, 1.8-meter-high display while the right side includes a curved video wall measuring 6.4 meters wide and 0.9 meters high. With fanless operation, the Planar TVH Series LED video wall is ideally suited to the studio where equipment noise must be minimized.
