Town of Matthews Integrates Planar LED Display Technology with New Emergency Coordination Center

In southeastern Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, the Town of Matthews opened a new Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) in early 2024 to enhance its emergency management capabilities. The ECC now serves as a hub for information sharing, response coordination and communicating with Mecklenburg County’s Emergency Operational Center.

The main feature of the new ECC is a nearly 12-foot-wide, 7-foot-high Planar® TVF Series LED video wall with a 0.9mm pixel pitch. The fine-pitch, LED display provides the Town of Matthews with a solution for monitoring real-time information and guiding operational decisions.
