On a Times Square corner, 12 ground-level windows of a New York Port Authority Bus Terminal were transformed into an interactive video art display. The installation features Planar® TVH Series fine pitch LED video walls and a motion sensor camera tracking system that translates gestures into on-screen creative renderings, allowing passerby to make the digital canvas come alive with their own movements.
But more than a digital display that can be manipulated, the content holds animated stories that are waiting to be told. With their motions, people can visually engage the various storylines, moving narratives forward through interaction. A team of video artists, filmmakers, interactive designers, software developers and engineers created the project. The installation will serve as a platform for different presentations of dynamic, artistic content.
