What is an LED?

LED stands for “light emitting diode” and it is a semiconductor device that converts an electrical current to visible light. It is a self-emitting light source. Because of its relative power efficiency, solid-state design, and long life-span it is a popular building material for a number of product categories: LED architectural lighting, replacing incandescent or fluorescent bulbs in light fixtures both indoor and outdoor. What is Digital Signage?

I recently spoke at the Digital Signage Federation and Digital Signage Expo sponsored panel discussion called “Coffee and Controversy” and one of the questions posed to the panel was whether the name “digital signage” was a benefit or hindrance to the industry.
