Planar SA2311W Configuration Guide

For NVIDIA GeForce Users or for NVIDIA Quadro Users

NVIDIA GeForce Users

Recommended Hardware
  • Microsoft® Windows® Vista 32/64-bit or Windows 7 32/64-bit
  • Intel® Core™2 Duo or AMD Athlon™ X2 CPU or higher
  • 1GB of system memory. (2GB is recommended)
  • At least 100 MB free disk space
  • A GeForce graphics card (GTX recommended, see 3D Vision requirements)
GeForce Setup
  1. Download the latest GeForce drivers from the NVIDIA website (Driver download) and install
  2. Download the latest 3D Vision CD for a Desktop GPU (at least version 1.38) and install
  3. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to the “Set-up Stereoscopic 3D” page and click the button to Enable Stereoscopic 3D to start the 3D Vision Setup Wizard.

NVIDIA Quadro Users

Recommended Hardware
  • Microsoft Windows XP 32/64 bit, Vista 32/64-bit or Windows 7 32/64-bit, Linux 32/64 bit
  • Intel® Core™2 Duo or AMD Athlon™ X2 CPU or higher
  • 1GB of system memory. (2GB is recommended)
  • At least 100 MB free disk space
  • A NVIDIA Quadro graphics card (see compatible Quadro cards)
Quadro Setup
  1. Download the latest Quadro drivers from the NVIDIA website and install

  2. Download the latest 3D Vision USB Driver for Quadro and install

  3. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to the “Manage 3D Setting” page and select “On” for “Stereo - Enable”.

  4. If you have a graphics card that has the DIN-style connector for the 3D Vision™ system, select “On-Board DIN Connector (with NVIDIA IR Emitter)” for the Stereo – Display mode and plug in the provided cable. If you do not have the DIN-style connector on your graphics card, select “Generic Active Stereo with NVIDIA IR Emitter”.
