With your permission, as part of the new Planar Support Chat Service, Planar can access your computer and/or monitor information to allow our support specialists to analyze and provide recommendations to resolve your support issue. In order to provide the best support, we may need to collect some data from your computer. The data collected may include some or all of the following, or other, similar information: - Computer and/or monitor configuration - Monitor setup - Product and Serial Numbers - Hardware diagnostics - Device driver versions - Operating system or other software version, installation directory and settings - Device manager errors Although our system is designed to keep all this information confidential, including by encrypting it as it travels over the Internet, we cannot guarantee complete confidentiality. Planar support personnel will not have access to this information after the session ends, unless your issue is not resolved and a support ticket is started. Nothing is permanently installed on your computer as a result of this chat session and Planar maintains no access to your computer after termination of the session. You will have to give permission for each chat session. Our support is strictly limited to the question(s) asked and is based on information provided by you and the data collected from your system. Problems you experience and the success of Planar's recommendations may depend on your use of the computer, other hardware and software used with the computer and other variables unknown to Planar, so Planar cannot guarantee or assume any responsibility or liability for the results of the support or recommendations offered. In no event will Planar be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages in connection with your use of this chat service and any recommendations or other support offered by Planar.
