Planar Touch Screen Monitors Help Children’s Hospital Monitor Risk
At the Clinical Logistics Center (CLC) at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Fla., CLC staff have a very important mission: monitoring patients’ lives. In addition to the Orlando hospital, Nemours has another children’s hospital in Wilmington, Del., and operators at the CLC can monitor hundreds of patient beds at both locations.
The CLC is supported by 24 Planar touch screen monitors, each with a 24-inch widescreen display. The touch screen monitors are integral for tracking and processing patient medical informatics around the clock. Through systematic color-coding, positional sorting and intelligent content organization, CLC staff can detect changes in condition and take critical, time-sensitive action as needed. The Planar touch screens were also chosen for their reliability to support 24-hour mission critical operations.
