Need For Speed in 3D

Ever thought about playing Need for Speed in 3D? This is becoming a reality with Planar’s new stereoscopic mirror displays. Still early in development, this product is developed to meet as critical price point for everyday gamers. Additional versions for other business-related applications are also underdevelopment but the biggest interest has been from the gaming community. Current systems available on the market typically make users dizzy after usage of 15-30 minutes, are typically of low quality and/or very expensive. Planar’s new system solves all three problems by using a polarized mirror and eyeglasses to generate virtual depth in the picture.

A few games have been designed to work with this new technology such as the latest Need for Speed.
