At Planar, developing the right products means listening to the people who use them.

Before we created our Invitium patient-care workstations, we visited hospitals and spent time with the nurses who would be using them.

We listened. We heard. We learned.
Our product development team learned that for hospital night nurses, patient-room data entry was a choice between waking the patient with the overhead light or struggling not to make data entry mistakes in a night-lit room.

Planar’s innovative solution.
A downward shining light built into the underside of a medically-certified flat panel monitor. Bright enough for the nurse to see, but angled so it doesn’t wake the patient.

Do the nurses love it? You bet. And if the patients knew about it, they would, too, but, shhhh, they’re busy sleeping.
